Monarda punctata

Spotted beebalm

Monarda punctata, or Spotted beebalm, is an erect herb with aromatic leaves that mark it as part of the mint family. Its complex flowers – white with purple tinges – are stacked on dense, elongated spikes. Patches of M. punctata assemble in dry grasslands or between dunes., spreading from runners.
