Borrichia frutescens, or Sea ox-eye, is small shrub with large heads relative to their short, widely spaced yellow petals. They are common along the Texas coast – from beaches to brackish marshes – and bloom all year. Somewhat fleshy, oblong leaves attach directly to their woody stems.
